Bhaiya, kab tak deliver hoga?
Arrey bhaiya – festival season ke pahle karoge to order karenge.
This is what Indians ask shopkeepers during festive season.
Buying decisions are often gated on delivery, due to the auspiciousness nature of these festivals.
Both Flipkart and Amazon are hustling hard during the season and while there are loads of discounts / offers being doled out – this particular piece of UX by Amazon is something to really talk about!
This pretty much gives the conversation a human touch (as opposed to just saying ‘Arriving on Oct 2nd’).
For the buyer, ‘Arriving before Dussehra’ is a strong emotional need and if Amazon can appeal to that, why not (flaunt it)!
This is what Empathy is all abou !
That is, looking at the product from customer’s angle (and not at all from your own perspective), build experience which customers are used to in real world) and hustle hard to meet/exceed the expectation.
